GC2:CS – Sparks in action

It’s still not the last post before summer, today I can show more only about sparks:

Sparks are events mixed into the flow of monster waves, giving you not only some extra time between two waves (due to the spark stones increasing the gap between the two wave stones they are inserted between), but great opportunities to turn the tide of battle to your favor as well.

GC2:CS – Shrines in action

I’m sorry (again) for not bringing you more this time, but most of today’s topics will have to wait until next time, hopefully a “grand finale” post covering all the announced topics. If that won’t work, I’ll keep posting until I go through the remaining topics before closing the blog flow for summer.

So, today, I can tell you more about shrines, and how they changed since the last time they appeared on the blog.

GC2:CS – Various updates

Let’s start with gem colors: Many of you told that it would be weird to have the mana leech gem blue instead of orange. A decision had to be made between following the fantasy-hack-n-slash-rpg standard of mana always having blue color, and the GC legacy of orange mana leeching gems, and I’m happy to tell that you’ll see orange mana farms in GC2. 🙂

Another delay of 2 weeks

I’m sorry to tell that you’ll have to wait two more weeks to have a sneak peek at the talisman system. There’s a lot more to show of this topic than what I could show you at the moment, I have to work more on its details yet.
I’m positive that the talisman system will bring the fun of exploring the game and mastering it to a new level, I hope I can show it to you in 2 weeks!

GC2:CS – Shadows + GCL is 2 years old

So who or what are these shadows?
As the story tells, they are powerful demons, second in line only after their queen, the Forgotten, the archvillainess of the GC series.
Gameplay-wise, facing shadows should give you intense boss fights, repelling their dangerous moves while trying to tear down their overwhelming power.

GC2:CS – Achievements

I have to start with a confession: I’m an achievement addict. To give a mere example, I bought Torchlight 1 when it came out on Runic’s website, then bought it again on Steam just for the sake of achievement hunting.
And, as being an indie dev gives a great degree of freedom to make the game into something I’d love to play as a player too (in other words: if you can’t find the game you’ve been always dreaming of, become an indie and make it yourself 🙂 ) , when it comes to achievements, I want Chasing Shadows to have much, much more than a regular list of a few dozen achis.
