{"id":208,"date":"2011-05-17T11:46:52","date_gmt":"2011-05-17T09:46:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gameinabottle.com\/blog\/?p=208"},"modified":"2011-05-17T11:46:52","modified_gmt":"2011-05-17T09:46:52","slug":"latest-news-on-gcl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gameinabottle.com\/blog\/2011\/05\/latest-news-on-gcl\/","title":{"rendered":"Latest news on GCL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First of all, a few weeks ago, GemCraft Labyrinth has gone global!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>You can play it on Kongregate, it also has Kong badges:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kongregate.com\/games\/gameinabottle\/gemcraft-labyrinth\">http:\/\/www.kongregate.com\/games\/gameinabottle\/gemcraft-labyrinth<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you prefer to use your Mochi account, here is your version:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mochigames.com\/games\/gemcraft-labyrinth\/\">http:\/\/www.mochigames.com\/games\/gemcraft-labyrinth\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Or, if you have a GamerSafe account, you can play the game for example here (some of the game&#8217;s amulets are made to GamerSafe achievements):<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newgrounds.com\/portal\/view\/568629\">http:\/\/www.newgrounds.com\/portal\/view\/568629<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The first global version was v.1.15, here is the short list of changes:<\/p>\n<p>-fixed the leaderboard being upside down on Armor Games<br \/>\n-refined the armor formula for the &#8220;higher monster armor&#8221; setting<br \/>\n-fixed (on 2nd try) the &#8220;Highest amount of gems at scene at the same time&#8221; miscalculations<\/p>\n<p>The other news is, I&#8217;ve just finished and launched v.1.16 yesterday.<br \/>\nThe list of changes:<\/p>\n<p>-sometimes, when a shadow was spawning, placing new buildings wasn&#8217;t possible<br \/>\n-fixed the path connection between fields G7 and H7<br \/>\n-charged up pylons didn&#8217;t kill shadows<br \/>\n-the &#8220;Highest grade gem used in shrine&#8221; stat showed one less than the actual grade<br \/>\n-the &#8220;Win 20 battles&#8221; journey amulet was given only after 25 wins<br \/>\n-beacons destroyed with either bombs or shots added 2 to the corresponding kill count stat instead of 1<br \/>\n-it was possible for monster nests to have 0 hp and still standing<br \/>\n-the &#8220;Shift key&#8221; tutor text was visible at the &#8220;Extend mana pool&#8221; info panel even when &#8220;Verbose spell panels&#8221; were disabled<br \/>\n-pressing X when dragging a gem from the inventory over a gem in a trap made the inv gem unusable<br \/>\n-info panels of amplified trap-inserted gems showed wrong amp bonuses (sometimes it&#8217;s still wrong, but now it only has some rounding problems (misses by +- 1))<br \/>\n-clarified bloodbound trap-gem info<br \/>\n-the &#8220;Win a battle with no more than two gems while spending 5000 mana&#8221; could be done with more than 2 gems &#8211; when cloning a gem, the &#8220;number of gems&#8221; stat wasn&#8217;t updated.<br \/>\n-the tutor arrow pointing to the speed buttons didn&#8217;t disappear after pressing Space or Q<br \/>\n-AG build: the wizard level submitted to the leaderboard was one less than the actual value<br \/>\n-KONG build: saving two copies locally into different folders, might solve the disappearing saved games mystery<\/p>\n<p>This version should be the last one. Of course if I made some terrible mistake in this latest build, I&#8217;ll fix it, but otherwise it should be final. GCL got tons of bugfixes and dozens on new features since its first release, but now it&#8217;s time to close this project and start working on &#8220;GemCraft chapter 2: Chasing Shadows&#8221;! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to everyone who gave high scores to GCL on any site, and a huge thanks to those who bought the Premium Edition and supported us! We hope you will enjoy the game on for a long while!<\/p>\n<p>After processing all the remaining (632) emails, I&#8217;ll start working on GC2 as soon as I can.
