Weather will change every time you return to the world map, each field having its own weather, to give you another layer of decision depth when picking your next field, as each weather type has one positive and one negative effect.
Some fields can only have a subset of weather types (no snowing in the desert).
The five weather types:
- Clear weather: no effects, no extra visuals
- Snow: slower monsters, slower firing
- Fog: slower monsters, smaller tower range
- Rain: more damage, slower firing
- Storm: more damage, smaller tower range + Storm Essence sparks appearing
The Storm Essence spark summons a burst of thunders, smashing randomly, damaging monsters or demolishing your buildings, it can also supercharge your gems for a temporary damage boost.
Weather has its effect on the light level (saturation and lightness of the ground and plants), so if you’re among those players who like it less vivid, you might like the extra touch of darkness. Rain drops and snow flakes also try to make it more lively.
